Red Mink Birds

After this Cardinal was adopted and named "Spirit" I updated it
with more intense black accents (painted) on face and top of wings

Each bird is a One-Of-A-Kind

I have been saving a few scraps of a beautiful bright red sheared mink jacket from many years ago. I had a special request for a red mink bird (originally requested about 5 years ago) ... well, I finally found the time and inspiration to design a bird pattern based on a red cardinal. After I started to hand sew the bird I remembered why I never did anything with these scraps for the many years that they were sitting in my supplies ... the pelt was so thick that I had to hand sew using a pair of pliers to push the leather needle through and then pull it out of the pelt !!! Needless to say that it took an extra long time to hand sew. Nevertheless, I was so pleased with the first bird that I had to use the rest of the scraps to make a second bird. Each bird is similar yet different ... each is a one-of-a-kind.

  Red Mink Cardinal Bird (#3532)

 Whimsical Red Mink Bird (#3533)

Both birds are available for SEPARATE ADOPTION
Both Birds are on temporary RESERVE

Update: the Cardinal was quickly adopted so I will be sending "Adoption Invitations" to all of my collectors on my General Mailing list for the Whimsical Red Mink Bird.

(I will be listing the Whimsical Bird on it's own page so I won't be confused with the already adopted Cardinal)
